Tips to Shave Fast
Today's fast-paced life requires more prioritizing that even the simplest mundane task is considered a time waster. Shaving may be considered by some to be a not-so-important thing to do, but it is important none-the-less. The quickest way to shave, of course is to use mens electric shavers, but if you prefer the traditional way, there is a way to perform speed shaving.
Here are the tips on how to have a safe and quick way of shaving without using mens electric shavers; that is, through the use of a conventional razor blade.
Softening the skin to help easily shave off the hair is a must. By doing so, you have to rinse the area you want to shave using warm water, or better yet, take a shower and do not dry the area you want to shave. Exposure to hot or warm water will loosen the bristles on your face, which makes them come off easily when shaved. Just make sure not to overexpose yourself if you do not want your skin to prune.
Spread a thick amount of shaving foam into the palm of your hand, then thoroughly cover your face in foam. Remember, the thicker the better.
Wet the blade with warm-to-hot water first then begin shaving from the sides of your face. To find the bottom edges of your sideburns, use your finger in locating them. Drag the blade or shave across to remove the foam there. Then start shaving using downward strokes.
To prevent hair build up, rinse the blade after every stroke.
Shave the area beneath your chin and neck, starting on one side then working your way across. Still use downward strokes, then rinse the blade with every stroke. The skin of your neck is very prone to cuts, so it is advisable to shave gently.
After you're done with your chin and neck, proceed to the area above your chin. Start again on one side with the same downward stroke.
The next step will be shaving the sides of your lips. Pull the flesh of your lips inwards using your index finger and not the razor. Use your razor to shave the bristles off by dragging it in the opposite direction.
The last area is above your lips. This area is the last since the bristles are hardest there. Suck your upper lip into your mouth to maximize your shaving area then use long downwards strokes, rinsing after every stroke.
If you are done, rinse the blade and dry it. Splash some water onto your face and pat it dry to clear away the excess foam. Then apply aftershave lotion.
Quick but gentle is always the main key point in doing this procedure to prevent unwanted results. By being precise and deliberate with your procedure, you will prevent missed spots and cuts that are the most undesirable effect when shaving.
As has been mentioned, the fastest way to get a clean shave without even having to use shaving foams or aftershave is by using mens electric shavers. But, if you prefer the traditional method of removing your bristles, the tips described above may just work very well for you.
