How to Shave Pubes – A Guide for Men
Learning how to shave your pubes can be a valuable skill to learn in your life. There are many reasons why a man decides to shave the pubic hair. Some men do it in order to get rid of a lice problem, others do it to feel cleaner, and others simply to “look better” for the ladies. Whatever your reason is, we can’t deny this is a growing trend in men.
Despite the popularity of the topic, it still remains somewhat hidden under the surface mainly because of social issues. Don’t worry, if you are wanting to learn how to shave your pubes, you’ll find below a quick and easy guide on how to do it successfully.
The first step is to trim all the pubic hair. For this you will at least need scissors, although nowadays you can find an excellent electric shaver that will make this step a breeze (more on this later) Your goal is to make the pubic hair shorter in order to facilitate shaving and avoid irritation later on. Remember that this is a critical zone for us men, so take your time and have patience.
The second step is to prepare the area. You see, shaving (in any part) is an art, so you have to ensure the area is prepared before actually passing the razor. The goal of the preparation is to expand the pores and facilitate shaving. For this purpose, you will need a towel soaked in warm water. Wrap it around your intimate parts and let it rest for about a minute; this will also help you avoid bleeding by hair pulling later on.
Now you need to apply the shaving cream. Use a shaving cream that provides great gliding and contains aloe vera for the skin. Here, quality can make a huge difference. Spread the cream evenly and wait another minute to let it do its work.
Now comes the tricky part. Grab your razor blade and start passing it on the desired area; remember to do it with ease and don’t pass the razor on the same spot for more than 2 times at least on the first male pubic sessions, since your skin is not yet accustomed to this. On the area of the scrotum, it is better to pull the skin on corners and other hidden parts. Take your time, you will not do it perfectly the first time, this needs practice.
After you have finished, rinse the area with cool water to close the pores and avoid infections. Finally apply a non-alcohol based after shave and moisturizer to help the skin heal quickly. In the next days prepared to feel itchiness; this is completely normal, and something you will have to endure on your first tries at pubic shaving, a talcum powder can help you minimize itching throughout the day.
