How to Make Homemade Shaving Cream
A homemade shaving cream is simple to make, and it also nourishes and moisturizes your skin at the same time. In addition to that, it works well with mens electric shavers, too, as well as your conventional disposable razors.

The recipe for homemade shaving cream consists of the following: four tablespoons of an essential fatty acid-rich oil such as sweet almond, jojoba, and apricot; two tablespoons of a natural skin moisturizer and nourisher such as shea butter, cocoa butter, or beeswax; two cups of distilled or filtered water, so that it is pure in every way; one spoon of baking soda, to soften and protect the skin; four tablespoons of castile soap which is vegetable oil-based; half a cup of either aloe vera gel or honey; and essential oils. The last two ingredients are just optional so it is up to you whether you would add them or not.
In making your shaving cream, you should first heat the oil and skin nourisher in your double boiler. Then, stir both ingredients together until you get a clear mixture. Once done, pour the mixture into a large bowl and leave it to cool.
Using a pan, heat some water. Then, follow by adding the baking soda and castile soap. Stir these until the solids become diluted completely. When already diluted, you can now then add the aloe vera gel or honey, whichever you choose to use, into the solution and just continue stirring.
Afterwards, pour the second mixture into the bowl containing the first mixture. If you have chosen to use essential oils, then you can add it to the new mixture. As soon as you are through, blend everything with the use of a hand mixer or a blender. The mixture should be blended very well.
Then, transfer the cream into an airtight container. You may use old jelly or pickle jars for this. Just make sure that the jars are cleaned very well and have no residue or odors. Then, presto, you have your very own homemade shaving cream ready for use.
It is indeed a nice thing to be able to make things at home. This way, you would no longer need to worry about the chemicals that are used in products.
