The Wonderful World of Epilady
For those of you who do not know what an Epilady is, then you are missing out. An Epilady is the next evolution of home hair removal products. It is actually a product that was popular in the eighties because it did a better of removing hair than traditional shaving. Epilady's can also be used both wet and dry, depending the model, so that it become far more versatile than an ordinary razor. At its peak over half a billion dollars of Epilady's were being sold every year. Now the Epilady is back and this time it redesigned with high speed spinning disks which pull the hairs out quickly and painlessly.
This is what one consumer had to say about her new Epilady: "This NEW STYLE of Epilady can deal with shorter hairs, and can get all hairs. It is less painful, more efficient, with its multi-tweezing discs. I fell in love with it- my only complaint is that it didn't come with a built in rechargeable battery like the previous ones did, but it is a lot lighter. This is so much better than waxing, because you can target specific hairs and there is no mess to wash off. It is actually somewhat satisfying to wipe away all the hairs and feel them, much like squeezing a zit is satisfying. I didn't have an ingrown hair problem like I did with shaving. However, hair does grow back, usually in 1-2 days for me, so this is time consuming. However, the best part of this is, the Epilady is a ONE TIME cost, no trips to the salon, and no more money goes out."
The makers of the Epilady were very encouraged by this early feedback. They went on to create a whole new line of Epilady products allowing users to find the perfect Epilady for themselves. They also put a rechargeable battery in their latest Epilady Legend, in response to the complaint above.
Here is another story from an Epilady user who just loves having her smooth legs with having to shave everyday. "My Epilady removes even the shortest hairs. I take a dry loofah sponge and wipe it over my skin in the opposite direction as the hair grows, so that all the hair stands up off the surface of my skin.
While I was still shaving (every day!), I had a history of problems with ingrown hairs. I worried that the unbelievable results I was getting would cost me pain from ingrown hairs later. I was pleasantly surprised to find that as long as I use a loofah sponge to exfoliate when I shower, I don't have any ingrown hairs. I now bathe with a loofah mitt everyday. My skin looks better and is softer all over.
My legs are as smooth as a baby's bottom, from ankle to hip, (underarms, too!) and they stay smooth for at least 3-4 weeks in between uses. The hair that grows back is virtually invisible, very fine, very soft, and very light in color. The only way for me to tell when it's time to epilate again is to look at my legs closely with a light source coming from the opposite side… and I can barely see the outline of baby-fine 'fuzz' on my knees (long before I can ever actually feel it)."
