Handmade Soaps For Healthy Skin
Are you sick of buying off the shelf soaps that do nothing for the skin? Don't fret as there is a very unique solution to your problem. Although companies and marketers claim that their soaps can do wonders for your skin, the soaps mostly don't. It really almost always is a marketing gimmick, but then how do you wriggle out of the traps set by these companies? It's as simple as this—make your own soap! Yes, you read that right! You don't need to go to the supermarket to buy yourself soaps that do ‘zilch' for your skin. You can instead just make yourself a bar of soap at home. These ‘handmade' soaps are so much better than their commercial peers. They are good for your skin and contain fewer chemicals than the soaps you buy off the shelf. Take a step! Read on to gain access to two recipes for easy-to-make handmade soaps. These recipes are as basic and simple as a recipe for soaps can get. Using these soaps on your skin will result in skin that's nothing less than healthy and glowing.
Recipes For Handmade Soaps
Vanilla Almond Soap
You Will Need
- 1/3 cup whole Almonds
- 1/4 cup Distilled Water
- 1 tbsp Almond Oil
- 1/8 tsp Vanilla Fragrance Oil
- 1 4-oz bar Castile Soap (unscented)
- A Heavy-Bottomed Pan
- Soap Molds
Procedure
- Start off by grinding the almonds to a fine powder. You may need a coffee grinder or a food processor. This is important because coarse powder will destroy the texture of the soap.
- Cut your soap into shreds and set aside.
- Heat the water over a low flame in the heavy bottomed pan. Wait until it boils. Make it a point not to raise the flame.
- Take the pan off the heat and add the almond oil, vanilla fragrance oil, and almond powder. Stir until the ingredients are well mixed.
- Pour into a soap mold. Set aside for 5-6 hours. Your soap is ready.
Cream And Peach Bathing Bar
You Will Need
- 1/4 cup Distilled Water
- 1/4 cup Powdered Milk
- 1 tbsp Peach Fragrance Oil
- 1 tbsp Sweet Almond Oil
- A drop of Orange Food Coloring
- 1 4-oz bar Castile Soap (unscented)
- A Heavy-Bottomed Pan
- Soap Molds
Procedure
- Begin by cutting the castile soap into shreds and set aside.
- Heat the distilled water in the heavy bottomed pan over a low flame. Wait until the water begins to boil.
- Add the shredded soap to the boiling water while stirring continuously.
- Take the pan off the heat and add the powdered milk, the peach fragrance oil and the sweet almond oil and food coloring. Stir the mixture until it becomes a smooth and uniform-in-consistency liquid.
- Pour the liquid into the soap molds and set aside until it hardens.
