Ways to Get Rid of Ingrown Hairs
Usually the bump will have greatly diminished and there is no need for anything else. Although for the stubborn situations keep this in mind. The hair will start to appear if you haven't seen it yet. You can use a lancet (needle that breaks open skin) to gently puncture skin if needed. Then you are able to pluck it out. You can buy lancets at a pharmacy or local drug store.
Wearing looser clothing will prevent ingrown pubic hair. This might be hard advice to swallow for those women who simply can’t go out in public without their camel toe prominently displayed for all to see. For the rest of us, it should be no surprise that wearing looser clothing will prevent ingrown hairs because you’re not pressing your hair against the skin. This is especially true after a fresh shave or bikini waxing.
If the ingrown hairs do not surface after a couple of of minutes, repeat a couple of more times. Should the problem persist%, try again in a couple of hours or another day as the pubic hair may not be long enough for you to extract. Whatever happens, you should never try to force or squeeze the hair out in any way as this may cause bleeding and permanent scarring. Once you are able to see a tiny end of the ingrown hair on the surface of your skin, use a pair of sterilized tweezers to get rid of the hair. Wash your pubic area, towel dry and apply some antiseptic cream to prevent infections.
You need to know how to get rid of ingrown hairs properly, even if they are visible. The best way to remove ingrown hairs is by using sterilized tweezers to gently pluck them out, then treating them with peroxide or rubbing alcohol. Keep skin clean and dry, and they should not return. Tweezers or needles, gently applied, are how to get rid of ingrown hairs the proper way.
Allow it to continue growing and eventually free itself. This method works best when combined with daily moisturizing and gentile exfoliation to remove any dead skin that could be blocking the hair’s escape. If a pustule forms, gently squeezing it can cause the hair to pop up to the surface.
To help treat and eliminate ingrown hairs and razor bumps, MenScience offers a comprehensive two-step approach based on professional-grade ingredients recommended by doctors and skincare professionals.
Always prepare your face before shaving. Either apply a towel soaked with hot water to the area for a few minutes, shave after a hot shower, or use products specifically designed to soften hair prior to shaving.
As with the blemishes on your face, the urge to operate on bikini-line bumps can be hard to resist, but squeezing them might cause permanent scars or an infection. Ingrown hairs occur when a new hair curls and grows back into your skin instead of spurting out of it, causing what will look like a dark, clogged pore. The best remedy is to exfoliate the area regularly, using a slougher that contains salicylic acid or glycolic acid to shed the skin that's trapping the hair. To reduce your chances of having more ingrown, be sure to switch your razor blade often and always shave your bikini area in the direction of the hair's growth.
