The rotary blades revolve closely within their own safety cages at speeds variable in 2 or 3 steps dependent on the model you choose. Since the blades revolve, this kind of electrical shavers is named rotary shavers. Some manufacturers recommend using their shavers on wet face, but this does not necessarily mean that you will need to use that foam or lather again. Just soaking the face is enough to moisten the beard. Most other models are dry type.
