I Am A Vitamix User
I'm cutting straight to the chase. I want to talk about why a Vitamix Machine costs two to three times more then an average blender. I believe we all understand that a Vita mix is a quality machine which lasts a whole lifetime. Our hesitation in owning one of these Cadillacs is the $ 449. sticker shock. Why would any company of eighty-seven years put a price tag so high on a common small household appliance, when you know everyone wants a blender? The price tag feels like you are buying a brick of gold not a blender. Unfortunately, you need one for blending frozen drinks, pureeing food, chopping things and a quick blend of ingredients. We all know the nearest Walmart or Target will carry an Oster for under a $100. Well this really has started to bug me. I mean come on $449. for an appliance that I didn't believe I was going to use on a daily basis. Hey, I can get a clothes washing machine for that amount.
You ready for this? The unthinkable happened! You got it! I bought one!
I bought a Vitamix 5200,(I couldn't resist the 30 day in home trial) I figured what the heck. I had to know why! Honestly, I thought I would return it. I'd use it the three or four times and say that's nice and pack it back up. I wasn't worried because Vitamix does have an excellent customer service reputation. I knew I wouldn't get stuck with it.
My husband and kids could not believe that I dropped that much cash on one piece of kitchen counter metal.
You ready again? Here go's, it was worth it! Simply stated.
The clean up alone is enough to want to keep it. One drop of detergent in the container with hot tap water, put it back on the base, flip the switch, turn the knob and viola it's clean. I didn' t break a nail or break a sweat. Okay for real. I love this machine. I don't know what I did before owning this machine.
The motor has been engineered to create friction heat with the stainless steel blades which then heats up your ingredients in the container, so that you can even make hot soup. Not to mention crush and pulverize seeds and skins to where your body can actually absorb the nutrients, not just pass them through your system as waste material. I don't need to buy ice cream anymore. I make frozen fruit desserts even chocolate frozen desserts. This Vitamix saves me time and money. My health has improved and it's quick and easy to use. We eat less fast food at home. Breakfast has become the norm again. I just blend up fruits with a bit of milk for the teenagers and off they go to school, if we are running late, paper cups with lids and straws. No one goes with out breakfast in our house anymore.
It's the best blender for smoothies, juices, grinding nuts, grinding grains, making baby food(I don't have to do that anymore), kneading bread dough, and creating dips and soups. There is just too many foods to list and describe.
I wanted to let the public know, I didn't believe, but I do know. There is no going back for me.
