Replacement Cutters Heads
The supermarket shelves are full of men's shavers that seem to be competing for how many blades you need on a razor head. Think about how many times in the last few years you have been encouraged to upgrade the number of blades you need and now you must have one that takes a battery to make it buzz and vibrate.
So how many blades do you need to get the best shave, 3, 4, 5 or 6?
I could not find a shaving razor I liked, the replacement cartridges are expensive to buy and the more blades a razor had the more it seemed to clog up with hair and shaving foam. Finally, I tried a classic double edged safety razor, surprisingly this razor only has one blade and the design has not really changed since the 1930's. The replacement blades are those old school very cheap yet incredibly sharp blades. With the open comb design of the razor there was no clogging of the blades with hair and shaving foam. This resulted in less stress on my face with the sharp blade and the weight of the razor doing the work to cut through the beard. With the multi blade razor I had to press on quite firmly to get a close shave. So, less stress on your face means an improvement in skin condition.
