The Braun Series 5 (8995) Men's Shaver features Gillette Blade Technology that cuts hairs close in a single stroke without pulling or tugging. What is called the Power-Comb, lifts problem hairs that lie flat to the skin to avoid missed hairs in hard to shave areas. The Series 5 captures the hairs other shavers leave behind.
The unique foil pattern captures hairs growing in different directions while the cutting mechanism progressively shaves long hairs and stubble for a closer shave in fewer strokes.
The Braun Series 5 (8995) has clean & recharge system. At the touch of a button, it automatically cleans, lubricates, dries and charges to keep the shaver ready to get down to business every day.
This rechargeable shaver features an ergonomic shape and non-slip handle for easy maneuvering. The LCD displays information like; charging and replacement parts indicator.
For 50-minutes of cordless shaving expect to charge for about 1-hour to reach full charge. A 5-minute quick charge is enough for 1 shave.
The contour hugging shaver head automatically adjusts with every facial contour for maximum closeness and comfort. Micro-oscillations provide comfort and smooth gliding for a close shave in sensitive areas like the neck.

This Braun is the best
"This is the fourth Braun shaver I have owned, and this is clearly the best. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but you use it everyday and my last shaver from Braun lasted over six years and survived year long deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq in 130 degree temperatures. This shaver is the quietest I've used and cuts my beard in less than three minutes. The cleaning system is much better than the last system and the shaver always stays fresh and clean. I am not sure the message display is necessary, but it does tell you how long it took to shave each time and tells you how much battery charge is left. The 8975 model is probably just as good as the top of the line 8995 model, but I liked the idea of the larger message center and knowing how much of a charge is left. The Gillette blade is very nice and cuts through my thick beard like butter. I am very satisfied with this shaver and will purchase other Braun shavers in the future."

If you want a shaver with all the bells and whistles, take a look some of other shavers on the market (with hefty price tags to match). However if you want a solid shaver, the Braun Series 5 (8995) Men's Shaver is very good value for money.
