White (Colorless) Topaz: In its natural, untreated state - topaz is in fact colorless. To achieve the various shades, the stone is heated, be it by a natural heat source or engineered heating source. The three shades of blue are the sky blue, Swiss blue and London blue topaz. The London blue topaz is a very deep blue and often mistaken for the blue sapphire.
