Body waxing as a method for removing unwanted hair has been around for thousands of years. As it cools, the hairs become trapped in the wax and when fully cooled, the cloth or paper is used to peel the wax off in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Cold waxing is similar except that there is no danger of burns caused by overheated wax. Instead, cold wax strips are pressed onto the area to be deforested. The body's heat causes the wax to melt slightly, trapping the hairs like with hot waxing. These strips are then ripped off, as with the other waxing method. Are the methods safe?
The advantages of body waxing are that it's reasonably safe and large amounts of hair can be removed quickly. Most people won't see regrowth for at least two weeks and some people will remain smooth for as long as 8 weeks.
